Doug Tickner was a Peace Corps Volunteer from 1983 to ’86 in the Central African Republic. He taught English as a Foreign Language there, as well as in Saudi Arabia, where he also managed a corporate library. This lunaTick™ is a globe-trottin’ fool, and will be adding Egypt to his list of countries visited when he travels there en route to Gaza as part of a Code-Pink delegation at the end of May.

An alter-ego known as DJ Jack Frybulous struts his musical stuff on Redwood Community Radio as host of the massively popular What It Is, heard on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays from 2 to 4 pm PT (starting at 5 pm ET, 9 pm GMT, and 9 am Sunday NZ), streaming live at KMUD.org.

He has recently obtained certifications from the Heartwood Institute in Swedish, Thai and Hot Stones Massage, and Cranio-sacral therapy, and holds it down in the Humboldt County seat: Eureka, California.
